THe 5 days of Valentines Day

Does anyone have trouble keeping control of their mind? I do. I must have missed a lot when I was a kid because I feel like I'm learning the basics now. My mind and ego hold me back everyday and make me lose the moment. I feel like for the first time in my life I have experienced real presence in the moment and its amazing.. Its seems so easy. Why should it be difficult to process my feelings and thoughts so I can keep on enjoying life and every moment?. Why would I deprive myself of life??

I haven't written in this Blog for a long time.. The title of it is. "Today is My Last Day On Earth" Just to let you know..since I haven't been writing I have not lived everyday like its my last day. I have not lived every moment like its all there is. Every day is brand new. Every moment is brand new. Every second is so precious. It makes me crazy now when I allow myself to lose track and not really live that. I feel like a broken record..I have been singing about this and writing about it in circles for year and it feels like it never ends. Well..There it is more of the same thing. Me talking about how my mind management.

Have a good day,

Greg

Columbia

We arrived in Bogota and were so surprised. The city and people are so warm and beautiful. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s has created a terrible vision of Columbia deep in my psyche. Its incredible how successfully the media creates our perspectives revolving around fearful attitudes. The more I travel I see it’s the best way to undo a lot of BS that we have learned.

The show was unreal. Small, inspired, and a great time. The mountain city of Bogota is full if life, culture and love. We were lucky to see it.

O yea, I almost forgot. Our shuttle van broke down on the way to the airport at 5am. We just made the flight.

Panama

Our original show was cancelled in Panama only two weeks ago but
Omar and Erik saved the day by putting a show together. It was small and fun.

The colorfully painted buses in Panama are great. They are privately owned buses that shuttle people around the city everywhere. They have some sick paintings on them too. We had a good day driving out to the small island off of the city before making our way to the gig. The gig was small but sweet, Off to Bogota

Costa Rica

We arrived early and were shuttled by some friendly faces to sleep at the hotel. The warm weather and sound of Spanish in the air dissolved pleasantly into our travel dazed selves. The show was packed and the vibe was great..The love and passion of Latin America is really living up to its reputation. There was not much difference between the party inside the club and the party on the street. The cops didn’t seem to mind this time.
..We only saw the city of San Jose. The beaches here are amazing and there are so many fun waves to ride out there but, the tour must go on. Off to Panama.

Mexico City

We checked out Mexico City today with our good friend and promoter, Chema, & his friend Sam. First we interviewed and played some songs we love on The Reactor 105.7fm radio with our new friend Ariadna. Thanks for having us. Then we had a few hours to run around the city and look at stuff. It's a beautiful place.

The city was beautiful and so was the food at the Vegetarian taco place..mmm. We found a few minutes to stop at the Frida Kahlo museum too before sound check. The show is in an amazing old church. There is something really satisfying about rocking in an old church..Right now I'm in the hotel gathering some more strength to rock as best I can. It's been a long 2 days and its not gonna end til the 8 shows are over. There are some extremely stoked kids lined all the way down the block. Vamos!

Honestly... I was just checking what I wrote above for typos and was about to send it and I just got a text message from our tour manager, Kate. Here is exactly what it says: "Can you wait to come back for another half hour or more? The show is sold out and there's almost a riot outside!" †Hasta Luego...
